Fellows in residence at the Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival perform Shoaling for piano, percussion, and double-bass. The performance will be part of the festival's final marathon concert which will also include works by 2017 guest artist Louis Andriessen, as well as Steve Reich, Jeffrey Brooks, Michael Gordon, Judd Greenstein, David Lang, Vanessa Lann, Mary Jane Leach, Gyorgi Ligeti, Nicole Lizee, Dmitri Tymoczko, Lois V Vierk, and Julia Wolfe.
Pianist Vicky Chow performs mammal for solo prepared piano in the galleries of the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA). The performance is part of the Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival
Premiere of a new work for Thin Edge New Music Collective as part of the Keys Winds and Strings Festival. The concert will also include works by Jason Doell, Germaine Liu, Remy Siu, Kasia Czarski-Jachimovicz, and Tobias Schick.
Cellist Ashley Bathgate will perform Augun for solo cello and electronics as part of the CSUF New Music Festival. The program will also include works by Fay Wang, Kate Moore, Pamela Madsen, Anna Clyne, and Annie Gosfield.
Final Showcase Concert for the 2016 Soundstreams Emerging Composer Workshop at the Alliance Francaise Theatre – Toronto, Canada
A new work for soprano, percussion, and piano by Fjóla Evans will be premiered at the 2016 Soundstreams Emerging Composer Workshop Showcase takes place at The Spadina Theatre at Alliance Francaise. The concert will also feature world premieres by other participants in the workshop.

Kaufman Music Center's teen new-music ensemble Face the Music will perform Dogged for violin and viola. The concert will feature new works by six pre-college composers selected from a national call for submissions, each mentored by MATA alumni composers.
As part of Female Composers Night the Cambridge Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing Hollywood. The concert will also include works by Liz Anaya, Emma Flornoy, Clara Sinephro-Cool, Eva Gertz, Sara Corry, Emily Cooley, Audrey Harrer, Kirsten Volness, and Carolyn Chen.
Quince Ensemble will perform Whirlpool for three sopranos and Merche Blasco's theremin orchestra at the SONic Festival produced by the American Composer's Orchestra. The concert will also include works by Molly Herron and Levy Lorenzo.
Fjóla will be a musician-in-residence at the Banff Centre for the Arts during the early fall session.
